It's built for people who live or work between countries: remote workers, nomads, expats and cross-border commuters.

Download the app, create your account, choose your target residence country and grant the location permission. From then on the count runs by itself, in the background. You can also add or fix stays manually — useful for reconstructing earlier months.

The web is your big-screen dashboard: checking days, managing proof and generating reports. The automatic GPS counting lives in the mobile app, which is in development — join the waitlist and we'll let you know when it launches. The web calculators work without an account and are available today.

No. It uses an adaptive mode: low-power sensors detect when you move and GPS only switches on to confirm the area. Around ~1% of battery per day, designed to stay on all year.

Daywhere works at city and country level, which is what the rules need. Border areas, flights or airplane mode can produce the odd doubtful day: any day can be reviewed and corrected manually, and the history reflects who made each change.

It's ideal for a precise count, but not essential: you can add or correct stays manually and attach proof for any day.

Flights, hotels, receipts, GPS logs and other documents. Each piece carries its date and location and is organized by stay, so the final report builds itself.

It's stored anyway and flagged as "missing location" so you can complete it later. An incomplete proof today beats a memory three years from now.

It's your defense material, but note: geolocation on its own does not constitute conclusive proof before tax authorities. The value is in the whole — counted days plus dated documents (tickets, invoices, receipts). The blog has a guide on the real weight of each piece of evidence.

Only you. Precise coordinates are processed on your device and discarded; what's kept is the result (country/city and day), encrypted. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Yes, anytime from Settings: location, backup and analytics are independent, revocable consents. If you revoke location, automatic counting pauses (and we tell you clearly).

Always. You can export your full data from Settings, and if you delete your account we erase your data and backup within 30 days at most, except what the law requires us to retain (such as invoices).

Daywhere will be a paid service with a free trial so you can see it working on your own year. It isn't available yet: join the waitlist and we'll let you know when we launch. The web calculators and guides are free and require no sign-up.

Once we launch, you'll be able to cancel from Settings at any time. You'll keep the plan until the end of the paid period; if you stop paying, automatic counting will pause but your data won't be deleted and you'll be able to export it whenever you want.

Yes: every charge will generate an invoice you can download from Settings → Plan. Payments will be handled by our payment provider; Daywhere never sees your full card.
